The Two Timetables

Thoughts on the two timetables that seem to guide American and Russian approaches to the Eurasian space. With the likely cancellation of the missile-defense system for Poland and the Czech Republic, will this change the equation?

Both Russia and the US suffer resource constraints in the next 20 years. It is Obama who has finished this old cold war game. And Eurasia will not become stable because it is corrupt and tribalist structured. So it was a great step conducted by Obama to step back in this missile defense project. No new arms race, so the Russian should and will step back in Latin America. This is balance-of-power.
