Special Envoy: North Korea Could Obliterate the World with "Three Or Four Bombs"

Alejandro Cao de Benos de Les y Perez, regarded by some as a “useful idiot” serving as a pro-North defender of the brutal regime, claims that North Korea is untouchable.

North Korea could destroy the world with just “three or four” thermonuclear bombs, according to a “special representative” of the North Korean government.

The U.S. “has many more missiles than Korea,” Alejandro Cao de Benos de Les y Perez, a Spanish national who serves “special representative” of the North Korean Foreign Ministry and president of the Korean Friendship Association, told the Argentinian outlet Infobae in a recent interview. It is “not a question of quantity but of the potency of the detonation. One thermonuclear bomb is 100 times more powerful than a nuclear one.”

“Three or four of those is sufficient to end the entire world,” he added.

Alejandro Cao de Benos de Les y Perez, regarded by some as a “useful idiot” serving as a pro-North defender of the brutal regime, claims that North Korea is untouchable.

“No one will touch North Korea—if they touch it the people will defend it with guns and missiles,” he explained, further commenting that “Korea is perfectly prepared with nuclear and thermonuclear weapons. We have the H-bomb.”

North Korea said it successfully tested a hydrogen bomb last January. Foreign observers, however, are suspicious of North Korea’s claims.

Cao de Benos argues that everything said about the North is a “lie” promoted by Western countries interested in harming its legitimate interests.

The North’s “special representative,” which serves as the head of one of North Korea’s top soft power propaganda organizations, made his comments as the U.S. and its allies attempt to rein in the regime, which has launched eight missiles this year. The U.S. has dispatched a Navy carrier strike group to waters off Korea, and the Trump administration is working with China to put increased pressure on its neighbor. While the U.S. is pursuing a peaceful resolution, all options are on the table, including military force.

North Korea threatened Sunday to sink the USS Carl Vinson, the Nimitz-class nuclear-powered aircraft carrier leading the strike group. The North has also warned of war multiple times in recent weeks.
