Editor's Note: The following is a press release of the Navy Headquarters, MND, ROC 2120, April 2, 2021: 

Regarding the article "Don’t Tell China. Did North Korea Help Taiwan Build Submarines?", the Navy Headquarters states today (April 2) that the content of the report was false and misleading.

The clarification is as follow:

1. The development and acquisition of the submarine program has never been from and will not have any contact with North Korea. The program is fully supported by major European and American countries.

2. The said article published without confirming with the Navy was completely false. The Navy regrets the misinformation and makes a solemn statement requesting the media to clarify immediately to avoid  misleading the international audience.
