Think Small: 5 Best 32-inch HDTVs

What is best for the money?

More often than not, it seems like 55-inch-plus HDTVs get most of the attention, and thus, more reviews. But let’s not totally forget about our smaller 32-inch friends, as they have proven to be at times perfect complements to smaller bedrooms and dens. So, here are five outstanding options if you’re in the market for a 32-inch TV.

Leading off is the TCL 32S325, which is amazingly priced at only $128. Much like the Chinese company’s larger-screen offerings, this 32-incher has everything to meet your viewing needs. It comes with Roku, one of the top platforms for TV streaming apps, and it is very simple to use the interface.

The design is simple and elegant and the picture is indeed high quality with 720-pixel high definition. An added bonus is that it has three HDMI ports and is fully compatible with Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant.

On deck is the Samsung QN32Q50R, which delivers great picture quality thanks to its QLED technology, high contrast ratio, fantastic motion handling and wide color gamut. If you need this TV in a bright room, it does an admirable job in ramping up the brightness and can handle those annoying reflections. The price tag, however, is a little harder to swallow at $500.

In the three-hole is the Hisense 32H4F, which at $140 can give its TCL counterpart a run for its money. But based on its price point alone, you are getting what you pay for and more. It possesses decent reflection handling and more than passable viewing angles, thanks to its IPS panel. The TV also boasts a fast response time and low input lag for a quality gaming experience.

Batting cleanup is the Toshiba 32LF221U19, which is priced at a reasonable $180. This 32-inch TV comes with Alexa and features Amazon's Fire TV system built in, making it a strong competitor to TCL's Roku offering. It also provides three HDMI ports, 720p HD picture quality, and an LED display.

Finally, be sure to check out the Samsung UN32N5300. With a bargain-bin price of $220, it really is a solid option for budget-conscious consumers out there. It comes with an IPS panel with wide viewing angles and can deliver solid picture quality. It is definitely not for serious gamers, but it can handle most basic games well, and it can get bright enough to make any TV-viewing experience relatively enjoyable in sun-drenched rooms.
