Russia, Belarus, and Serbia: Slavic Brothers or Pariah States?
What brings together an ostensibly EU-aspiring Balkan nation with a pariah state such as Belarus and an ever more assertive and aggressive Russia that is adamant on recreating the once expansive Tsarist empire?
Serbia and Belarus may sometimes appear to be Moscow’s uncooperative allies, however, amid Russia’s confrontation with the West, their significance in military, strategic and physiological terms outweighs their substantive importance.
