Woman Claims Herschel Walker Pressured Her to Have Abortion

A second woman came forward on Wednesday to allege that Herschel Walker, the Republican Senate nominee for Georgia, was involved in her abortion.

A second woman came forward on Wednesday to allege that Herschel Walker, the Republican Senate nominee for Georgia, was involved in her abortion, according to a new Axios report.

The woman, referred to as Jane Doe to protect her identity, claimed during a press conference with her lawyer, Gloria Allred, that Walker had “pressured” her into getting an abortion after she learned she was pregnant in April 1993. Doe’s voice was heard, but her face was not shown.

“After discussing the pregnancy with Herschel several times, he encouraged me to have an abortion and gave me the money to do so. I went to a clinic in Dallas but simply couldn’t go through with it, I left the clinic in tears,” she said.

Walker “drove me to the clinic the following day and waited for hours in the parking lot until I came out. I was devastated because I felt like I was pressured into having the abortion,” she continued.

Doe was adamant that her speaking out now was not political, saying that she is a registered Independent and voted for former President Donald Trump.

“I do not believe that Herschel is morally fit to be a U.S. senator and that is the reason why I am speaking up and providing proof,” she said.

“We don’t need people in the U.S. senate who profess one thing and do another. Herschel Walker says he is against women having abortions, but he pressured me to have one,” she added.

As reported by CNN, Walker called the new allegation a “lie” during a campaign event in Georgia on Wednesday.

“I already told people this is a lie, and I’m not going to entertain, continue to carry a lie along. And I also want to let you know that I didn’t kill JFK either,” the former college and pro football star said.

In an additional statement later in the evening, Walker said: “I’m done with this foolishness. This is all a lie, and I will not entertain any of it.”

Earlier this month, a bombshell Daily Beast report accused Walker of allegedly paying for a former girlfriend’s abortion in 2009. The woman, who wished to remain anonymous due to privacy concerns, supported her claim with a receipt from an abortion clinic and a bank deposit receipt showing that Walker reimbursed her $700 for the procedure. The news outlet also reported that the same woman is the mother of one of Walker’s children.

With less than two weeks until the midterm elections, most polling shows Democratic candidate Sen. Raphael Warnock with a modest lead over Walker.
