Introducing a Superskeptic

We recently brought in three new occasional bloggers: John Schuessler, Trevor Thrall, and Brendan Green. Now we have added a fourth, Ohio State Professor of Political Science John Mueller. John is a skeptics’s skeptic, having abused conventional wisdom in books about the obsolescence of war among great powers, the unimportance of nuclear weapons in international politics, the overestimation of al-Qaeda’s capabilities, and much more. He has also written musicals and an award-winning book on Fred Astaire’s dancing, though I doubt he will be blogging on either here.

John is quite busy right now promoting his new book Terror, Security and Money, Balancing the Risks, Benefits and Costs of Homeland Security (co-written with Mark Stewart), but he should be weighing in from time to time.
