J. Michael Cole is a Taipei-based senior fellow with the China Policy Institute/Taiwan Studies Program at the University of Nottingham, UK, an associate researcher with the French Center for Research on Contemporary China, chief editor of Taiwan Sentinel and deputy coordinator for the Forum 2000’s China working group. He is a former analyst with the Canadian Security Intelligence Service in Ottawa and holds a Master’s Degree in War Studies from the Royal Military College of Canada. He is currently at work on a new book about cross-Strait relations since 2016.
