Savage Precision Series Adds Left-Handed Rifle Models

Lefties of the world rejoice.

Lefties have long had it hard—from having to sit at the end of the table to not having a can opener that is easy to use. While Babe Ruth started out as a left-handed catcher before becoming a famous pitcher, and Jimi Hendrix mastered the guitar as a Southpaw, shooters have had to struggle a lot harder.

With modern sporting rifles such as the AR-15, this has been a problem as the rounds are extracted across the shooter’s face, but when it comes to bolt action rifles, it typically requires that the shooter reaches over the bolt to operate the action and chamber the next round. This isn’t ideal at the range, and when a second shot is needed out in the wilderness, it is often too late to take down fast-moving game.

Fortunately, a few companies have seen, and more importantly addressed, the problem. This includes Savage Arms, which has shown its commitment to making firearms that are easy to use by all shooters, including the lefties out there.

The 125-year old firearms manufacturer has released new left-handed versions of its Model 110 Elite Precision and 110 Precision rifles.

“Savage has built an extensive catalog of left-handed firearms, quite possibly the largest in the industry,” said Beth Shimanski, director of marketing for Savage Arms. “Our customers come to expect it from us and these new Precision rifles once again demonstrate our commitment to serving all of our customers, equally.”

110 Elite Precision Left-Hand

Savage Arms has described 110 Elite Precision to be “the pinnacle of Savage designs” and announced the long-popular model is now offered in a left-hand configuration for Southpaw shooters. Too often, companies may think it is just about changing the bolt to operate from the left, but Savage noted there is far more to it—addressing not only the time-tested Model 110 action, but every aspect of the rifle as well.

This firearm still offers the Savage factory blueprinted action, MDT ACC aluminum chassis with fully adjustable stock, ARCA Rail along the entire length of the chassis and a Stainless steel flash nitride target receiver. In addition, the left-handed version of the 110 Elite Precision still features titanium nitride bolt body, 1.5 4lb user-adjustable AccuTrigger, self-timing taper aligned muzzlebrake short action calibers only and MDT Vertical Grip and AICS magazine.

It is available now in a variety of calibers, including: .308 Win, .300 PRC, .300 Win Mag, .338 Lapua, 6.5 Creedmor, 6mm Creedmor and .223 Rem.

MSRP: $1,999-$2,149.

110 Precision Left-Hand

The step-down Savage 110 Precision has also been fully reworked for lefties. It pairs the 110 action with a Modular Driven Technologies LSS XL chassis, while the rifle comes fully customizable, and offers adjustable comb height and length of pull. The AccuTrigger also delivers further versatility and performance.

It features a Savage factory blueprinted action, matte black carbon steel heavy barrel and a threaded 5/8-24, MDT LSS XL Chassis with FDE Cerakote. Moreover, it comes with an exclusive skeletonized stock with fully adjustable comb height and length-of-pull, a 1.5-4-pound user-adjustable AccuTrigger, 20 MOA 1–piece EGW rail, AICS magazine and a BA Muzzlebrake.

It is available now in the following calibers: .308 Win, .300 PRC, .300 Win Mag, .338 Lapua and 6.5 Creedmore.

MSRP: $1,499.
