2013's Most Portentous Developments

Developments that will shape the next year.

In going against Israel’s Likud government and America’s Israel lobby, Obama has positioned himself to pit the American people, who favor his initiative, against the lobby, which opposes it. This is indeed portentous because if it comes to a showdown, the American people, in league with their president, will win. Then some assumptions about the power of the Israel lobby will be reassessed.
