Dr. Ariel Ahram is Professor and Chair of the Government and International Affairs program at the School of Public and International Affairs, Virginia Tech, and the author of War and Conflict in the Middle East and North Africa (Polity, 2020) and Break All the Borders: Separatism and the Reshaping of the Middle East (Oxford UP, 2019).
