The Shape of Things to Come: Toward a Unified Europe

The European Union (EU) is undertaking one of the greatest feats of political engineering ever attempted--the unification of Western Europe with Central and Eastern Europe (CEE).

(1)  Editor's note: this trend noted by Ambassador Møller was discussed by Arthur Eliason in his article "In What Do We Trust?" (http://www.inthenationalinterest.com/Articles/vol2issue7/vol2issue7eliason.html)

Ambassador J. Ørstrøm Møller is the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Denmark to Singapore and is also an adjunct professor at the Copenhagen Business School.  A more extensive article on this subject appears in the July 2003 issue of The Singapore Reader, which is published by the Singapore Institute of International Affairs.
